Established in 1971 — Five Decades of Heritage
Founded in 1971, Kent Towne Liquors has been a proud fixture of Kent Island for over five decades. What began over 50 years ago as a small neighborhood shop at 20 Kent Town Market in Chester, Maryland, has grown alongside our community to become the Eastern Shore's premier destination for fine wines, rare spirits, and craft beers.
2015 Stewardship — Abhi Viradia
In 2015, stewardship of the store transitioned under the leadership of Abhi Viradia. Focused on honoring the store's 1971 legacy, Abhi expanded our wine cellar, established a walk-in craft beer cave, and curated a dedicated rare bourbon vault — all while preserving the friendly, family-owned atmosphere our regulars love.
